Ambitious about Autism is a national charity for children and young people with autism. They raise awareness and understanding, and campaign for change as well provide specialist education and support through TreeHouse School, The Rise School and Ambitious College.
For autistic young people and their families, the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the isolation and uncertainty is even greater. Many autistic people rely on structure and routine to help them manage anxiety and cope with the world.
Therefore for this World Autism Awareness Month, Ambitious about Autism shares online resources for families and autistic young people to help them manage anxiety and adjust to self-isolation at this difficult time.
Also, the Ambitious about Autism Participation team held a few video conferences calls with young people with autism during the Coronavirus period. The young people came up with answers to some of questions which focused autism acceptance, awareness and celebration.
